Our fabulous newly styled Portaferrissa 4.2 apartment is right in the centre of Barcelona in the central street Portaferrissa. This apartment sleeps four people and is therefore great for a family or a group of friends. There is a master bedroom suite, with a large bed and wardrobe and another comfortable bed in the rental apartment in the living room that can also be used as a sofa during the day and that sleeps two more guests. The apartment is modern and decorated tastefully with hints of mediterranean colour. The fittings in this holiday apartment have been well chosen and reflect the good value of the house. The kitchen is full of gadgets to help make life as easy as possible, including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave and coffee machine. If you ever get tired of the intense pace of nightlife here in Barcelona, this apartment is the perfect place to kick back and relax watching a movie, as there is both a plasma television with satellite channels. The apartment also has two balconies looking out onto the pretty Barrio Gótico neighbourhood. The best part is that there are six other apartments in this block, so it is completely suitable for larger groups who wish to rent more than one flat.

This is one of the best areas in Barcelona to rent an apartment in a practical, location and tourist sense. There are supermarkets, banks, internet cafes and tourist information services nearby, as well as shops, restaurants, cafes and bars. All within a short walking distance, so you won’t even have to catch a taxi. There are a couple of metro stops near by, the nearest of which is Liceu. This is opposite the attractive Liceu Opera house, where international singers and players from all over the world come to perform. The other must see building near by is the Palau de la Música Catalana, towards the opposite side of the rental apartment from Las Ramblas. This gorgeous art nouveau construction was built at the turn of the last century, and still has all it’s original fittings and features. Although not cheap, the Palau de la Música still functions as such and still regularly holds concerts in every genre imaginable. This vacation rental has the perfect location, and since you are only a few minutes walking distance from the metro station, you can easily reach other parts of the city and famous tourist attractions in just a couple of minutes.
