The Eixample neighborhood is the newest area of Barcelona, built in the 19th century by the Catalan engineer Cerdá. The Eixample has a very particular structure, it consists of a real grid and each block has an interior courtyard. Since it is very large, it has been divided into two zones: the Eixample Izquierda (on the left) and Eixample Derecha (on the right). If you want to go for a walk with your partner on the wide streets of the neighborhood or just appreciate some of the most important works of Art Nouveau in Barcelona, a cheap apartment in the Eixample is what you need!
